Campus Keycard

A green keycard belonging to the University.

This keycard is used to unlock the gate on the far side of the campus courtyard during Leon's Chapter 1.


Backdoor Key

An ordinary house key.

This key is used to unlock the backdoor of the family house you find yourself in during Leon's Chapter 1.


Cemetery Key

A large old-style key.

It is used to unlock the gate at the top of the cemetery that leads to the cathedral in Leon's Chapter 2.


Madonna of Charity

A small red statue of the virgin Madonna.

This object is used in Leon's Chapter 2 inside the Cathedral. Place this in conjunction with the Madonna of Happiness on the red pedestals on either side of second-floor cathedral balcony to open a door on the lower level.


Madonna of Happiness

A small red statue of the virgin Madonna.

This object is used in Leon's Chapter 2 inside the Cathedral. Place this in conjunction with the Madonna of Charity on the red pedestals on either side of second-floor cathedral balcony to open a door on the lower level.


Madonna of Grief

A small blue statue of the virgin Madonna.

This object is used in Leon's Chapter 2 inside the Cathedral. Place this in conjunction with the Madonna of Sorrow on the blue pedestals on the edge of the third-floor cathedral balcony overlooking the room to reveal a secret stairway on the lower level behind the dais.


Madonna of Sorrow

A small blue statue of the virgin Madonna.

This object is used in Leon's Chapter 2 inside the Cathedral. Place this in conjunction with the Madonna of Grief on the blue pedestals on the edge of the third-floor cathedral balcony overlooking the room to reveal a secret stairway on the lower level behind the dais.


Underground Keycard

An orange keycard.

This is used in Leon's Chapter 2 to unlock the security door at the bottom of the secret exit from the Cathedral.


Old Crank

A large rusted metal crank.

This crank is used to operate the crank-less panel in the Catacombs, near the spinning blades, in Leon's Chapter 3.


Storage Key A

A large key with a diamond-shaped handle.

This key is used in the market district area in Leon's Chapter 4. You need to find this key, along with Storage Key B and Storage Key C, to open up the large door at the far end of the market.


Storage Key B

A large key with a diamond-shaped handle.

This key is used in the market district area in Leon's Chapter 4. You need to find this key, along with Storage Key A and Storage Key C, to open up the large door at the far end of the market.


Storage Key C

A large key with a diamond-shaped handle.

This key is used in the market district area in Leon's Chapter 4. You need to find this key, along with Storage Key A and Storage Key B, to open up the large door at the far end of the market.


Marco's C4 Explosive

A large block of plastic explosive belonging to Marco.

This is used in Chris's Chapter 3 to blow open the locked gates in the room where you witness the demise of Marco in the Poisiwan Inner Area.


Passcode A

A digital passcode for unlocking a security-protected door.

You need to find this passcode, along with Passcode B and Passcode C in order to unlock the security door inside the Aircraft Carrier's Forward Hangar in Chris's Chapter 4 and Ada's Chapter 4.


Passcode B

A digital passcode for unlocking a security-protected door.

You need to find this passcode, along with Passcode A and Passcode C in order to unlock the security door inside the Aircraft Carrier's Forward Hangar in Chris's Chapter 4 and Ada's Chapter 4.


Passcode C

A digital passcode for unlocking a security-protected door.

You need to find this passcode, along with Passcode A and Passcode B in order to unlock the security door inside the Aircraft Carrier's Forward Hangar in Chris's Chapter 4 and Ada's Chapter 4.


FOS Memory Device A

A white memory stick containing important data.

This is accidentally dropped during the plane crash at the start of Jake's Chapter 2. You need to retrieve this, along with FOS Memory Device B and FOS Memory Device C in order to complete the first section of the chapter.


FOS Memory Device B

A white memory stick containing important data.

This is accidentally dropped during the plane crash at the start of Jake's Chapter 2. You need to retrieve this, along with FOS Memory Device A and FOS Memory Device C in order to complete the first section of the chapter.


FOS Memory Device C

A white memory stick containing important data.

This is accidentally dropped during the plane crash at the start of Jake's Chapter 2. You need to retrieve this, along with FOS Memory Device A and FOS Memory Device B in order to complete the first section of the chapter.


Mine Keycard

A blue keycard.

This is used in Jake's Chapter 3 to unlock the security doorway in the large main open cave covered in crystallized ice.


Switchboard Key

A plastic keycard with the word "caution" printed on it.

This keycard is used in Jake's Chapter 3, and is needed to allow Jake to escape his cell at the very beginning of the chapter.


ID Medal

An octagonal medal that bears a striking resemblance to the Umbrella logo.

There are a total of 16 of these medals located inside the ornate section of the facility in Jake's Chapter 3. You need to insert them into the slot located on the central statue in the Main Hall. Inserting the following number of coins will unlock various things. You need a minimum of 10 medals in order to finish the chapter.

  • Insert 3 medals to unlock the upper area west of the Main Hall.
  • Insert a further 7 medals to unlock the office on the east side of the Main Hall.
  • Insert a further 6 medals to unlock the golden cage, allowing you to acquire the Bear Commander weapon.


Simmons Family Crest Piece A

Part of what appears to be an crest depicting an ornate emblem.

This is one of three pieces that need to be inserted into the door in the Forest Cemetery in Ada's Chapter 1. You need to place this piece, along with Piece B and Piece C into the round hollow on the door to unlock it.

Inserting this first piece will also automatically open a side door in the cemetery, granting you access to the puzzle area where you can acquire the remaining two.


Amber Key

A large golden key.

This key is used in Ada's Chapter 2, on the metal gate in the main crypt area below where you find the key. It gains you access to the Gallows puzzle area of the crypt.


Simmons Family Crest Piece B

Part of what appears to be an crest depicting an ornate emblem.

This is one of three pieces that need to be inserted into the door in the Forest Cemetery in Ada's Chapter 1. You need to place this piece, along with Piece A and Piece C into the round hollow on the door to unlock it.


Simmons Family Ring

An large ornate ring with a pale blue jewel.

This ring is used inside the Gallows room of the underground crypt in Ada's Chapter 2. You must use it on the plaque located on the far wall to open the sealed door.

It also gets used in Leon's Chapter 3 to unlock the large door embossed with a serpent whilst you're down in the Catacombs.


Skull's Gold Tooth

A large tooth made from solid gold.

This is found in Ada's Chapter 2. It is used to complete the model of the skull next to the sealed door in the second underground crypt area.


Skull's Red Eye

A large perfectly round jewel in the shape of a false eye.

This is found in Ada's Chapter 2. It is used to complete the model of the skull next to the sealed door in the second underground crypt area.


Simmons Family Crest Piece C

Laboratory Key

A large key with a diamond-shaped handle.

This key is used in Ada's Chapter 2 to unlock the metal gate at the far end of the fenced area in the underground laboratory.


Back Street Key

A small key with an attached tag.

This key is used to unlock the door at the end of the street clearing filled with Zombies in Ada's Chapter 3.

Recovery items

Herb (Green)

The classic herb, featured in practically all Resident Evil games returns.

When you acquire a Green Herb, it gets added to your inventory as a single healing tablet. When you combine one with another Green Herb, you get a result of three healing tablets. However, combining it with a Red Herb will result in receiving a total of six healing tablets.


Herb (Red)

These unique herbs have no medicinal qualities by themselves, and therefore cannot be used on their own. However, combining one of these with a Green Herb will result in a total of six health tablets being generated.


First Aid Spray

Unlike herbs, the First Aid Sprays do not end up inside your inventory. Instead they are attached to your equip menu and are selected much like a weapon or grenade.

The First Aid Spray completely restores all of your character's health, including your partner's. This makes this item extremely useful if you are both running very low on overall health.
